Welcome to my web  site. I breed 6 species of Apple  snails.  I have   9 tanks of them at the  present  time.  I started about 2 years  ago when I got  my first snails from the local fish store.

Here are beautiful snails!   These are Pomacea canaliculata species Aquatic Snails. These snails have  clean shells (no algae). They are being raised in an aquatic environment that includes proper pH and liguid calcium for good  shell development.  These snails make wonderful tank mates for peaceful species of fish. They produce infusian which is great for the baby fishes first food. These beautiful little guys are NOT WELL suited for planted aquariums as they will eat plants.  They will grow to about tennis-ball size. If you don't want baby snails, you can easily remove eggs since they will be in clutches above the water line.

 Pomacea (pomacea) haustrum
The shell is also heavily banded with dark-brown bands.
Near the shell opening (aperture) the shell becomes lighter in colour.
The suture is deeply indended, much like in Pomacea canaliculata and Pomacea maculata. Compared with Pomacea canaliculata, haustrum has a less round and relatively higher shell.
Operculum: The operculum is moderately thick and corneous. The structure is concentric with the nucleus near the centre of the shell. The operculum can be retracted in the aperture (shell opening).
These snails lay green eggs above the water line.
